Analysis of over 100 indicators reveals regional trends and detailed country profiles show the performance of 25 African economies. The Public Institutions Index is derived from the results of the Forum’s Executive Opinion Survey (EOS). The Index presents the perceived level of corruption and the rule of contracts and law. In 2003 a record number of responses were received to the EOS: almost 8,000 responses from 106 countries. Close to 2,000 of these were from Africa.
