Global Agenda Council on Europe 2011

The Regional Agenda Council on Europe & Central Asia aims to monitor and examine the most pressing challenges this region is facing. Significant goals have been met in different areas where Europe and Central Asia have started cooperating, but many challenges persist – the reform of its institutions, ongoing debate about enlargement, bilateral and multilateral interaction between Russia and Europe, pressing environmental and climate issues, and the need to address security threats and create alternative and sustainable energy sources, to name but a few. How Europe and Central Asia address these challenges will have a profound and long-lasting impact that will extend far beyond their boundaries.
