Globalization and outsourcing were prominent features of supply chain change in the years prior to the economic crisis. What changes will global supply chains and the logistics industry that serves them see in coming years? What patterns of trade and distribution will develop as manufacturing and consumption practices evolve?

Drivers and impacts under consideration include but are not limited to information flows between consumers and producers, decarbonization, transport infrastructure, employment and societal shifts, sourcing practices and standards, and industrial and consumption geography.
