The Strategic Foresight team engages Forum communities in strategic dialogues to understand and address complex and uncertain long-term challenges. The work is inter-organizational and multistakeholder in terms of governance and participation, and provides a space in which communities, common understanding and trust can emerge. Beyond creating awareness about plausible alternative scenarios, questioning mental models and improving the robustness of decision-making, the work has been useful in developing a systemic understanding of challenges and to map and examine paradigms.
