1. Online application

To apply for the GLF programme, you need to apply for an open position at the Forum that is marked “Global Leadership Fellow” under the job category. As well as filling in the online application form, you will be asked to submit a CV and three references.

2. Phone/online interviews

If your application is shortlisted, you will be invited to a phone or online interview with a HR manager and/or the hiring manager for the position.

3. Online assessment

If you successfully pass the phone/online interview, you will be invited to complete an online personality assessment.

4. Face-to-face interviews

If you pass the online assessment, you will be invited to the World Economic Forum for a series of face-to-face interviews. They will take place in the office where your job will be based. You will meet the hiring manager, the dean of the Global Leadership Fellows Programme and some members of the team. There is often also a panel interview with current fellows and other managers.

How do I apply to the Global Leadership Fellows Programme?
You should apply for an open position that is marked “Global Leadership Fellow” under the job category.

What are the requirements for the Global Leadership Fellows Programme?
The minimum entry requirements include a master’s degree, a minimum of six years of work experience and strong leadership potential. Candidates are generally between 30-40 years old.

When is the deadline for the Global Leadership Fellows Programme?
There is no deadline for applications as job openings are posted all year round. As a result, there are no pre-determined interview periods. If you are selected for a GLF position, you will be able to start working immediately. The academic modules will begin in the autumn following your recruitment.

Can I apply if I have not yet completed my master’s degree?
Yes. However, you should have graduated from your degree before the start of the academic modules. Given that these modules begin in November, you should have completed your studies before then. You may be asked to submit proof of graduation.

What are the language requirements of the job?
All candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English. Additional language requirements are specific to the position. It should be noted that the majority of our fellows are fluent in at least one language other than English, even if their job does not explicitly request it.

Do I need recommendation letters?
No. All we require are names and contact details of three references. If you are shortlisted for  a position, we will contact your references only after you have given your written agreement.

Where will I be based?
The Global Leadership Fellows Programme is based in Geneva, Switzerland. Your job assignment will be in our Beijing, Geneva, New York or Tokyo offices.

How will I find out about the status of my application?
You will receive an email from our Talent Acquisition team confirming receipt of your application. You will be contacted for an interview or to inform you that your application has been unsuccessful. Candidates will be contacted as soon as relevant information is available.

How long does the recruitment process take?
It usually takes two to four months.
