Diana el-Azar


Director, Head of Media, Entertainment and Information Industries, World Economic Forum

Diana holds a BA in Economics (cum laude) from the American University of Beirut and earned an MPhil in Economics of Developing Countries at Cambridge University.

Before joining the corporate world, Diana worked with the United Nations Development Programme in trade-related and human development positions in Beirut, and taught economics to freshmen students at the American University of Beirut. Later, she spent seven years at Reuters, mainly in sales and business development in Beirut, London, Paris and New York.

Diana joined the World Economic Forum as part of the GLF programme in 2005. She currently leads the Forum’s Media, Entertainment and Information Industries team. She is also head of the Global Agenda Council on Media, Entertainment and Information and the Global Agenda Council on Social Networks.
