Emilio Lozoya Austin, Chief Executive Officer, Pemex - Petroleos Mexicanos, Mexico

Emilio holds a BA in Economics from Instituto Tecnologico Autonomo de Mexico and a BA in Law from Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico. He also holds an MA in International Development and Public Administration from Harvard University.

Between 1999 and 2001, Emilio served as an analyst at the Central Bank of Mexico, responsible for investing international reserves in securities. From 2002 to 2005, he was Co-Founder of TerraDesign, a Harvard Business School start-up focused on social housing, with projects in Senegal and Mexico. In 2003-2005, he served as an Investment Officer for Structured Finance and Distressed Assets at the Inter-American Investment Corporation. He joined the GLF programme in 2005 and stayed at the Forum until 2009, holding the position of Director of Latin America. 

Emilio currently serves as Member of the Board of Directors of OHL México. He is also a Board Member of Cormus Capital, Corporacion Interamericana de Inversiones, TerraDesign and Banco de Mexico, among others. Emilio is Co-Founder and Executive Board Member of JF Holding Fund, which grew from 50 million euros to 1.2 billion euros in only 13 months. He has participated in the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos, and is the author of several studies on monetary policy, housing markets, public policy efficiency, IT education and electoral systems.
