Ian Rogan

Director, Master of Advanced Management at Yale School of Management, USA

Ian holds a BA from Boston College and an MBA from IMD (International Institute of Management Development). Prior to joining the Forum, Ian gained experience in managing election campaigns, including serving as Regional Field Director of the John Kerry presidential campaign. He also worked with Boston College as an Assistant Director at the Winston Center for Leadership and Ethics and as the Interim Director of Operations and Finance for the Center for Corporate Citizenship.

Ian joined the World Economic Forum’s GLF programme in 2009. He started as Project Manager for Corporate Global Citizenship and then as Associate Director for North America, developing and managing relationships with the US government, including cabinet secretaries, members of Congress and select governors.

Ian joined the Yale School of Management in 2012 as Director of the Master of Advanced Management, a one-year programme for top students who want to deepen their understanding of the most complex management issues facing leaders worldwide.

Working at the Forum and participating in the Fellows programme has provided me with a far greater understanding of the challenges faced by global leaders, the need for innovative, multistakeholder responses to meet these challenges and an idea as to what these new models could be. In my current role where I am working to develop future leaders, the experiences I had and the knowledge I gained through the Fellows programme inform my decision-making on a daily basis.
