Andy Wales is Corporate Affairs Director, Europe, for SABMiller plc, and a member of the regional executive committee. Responsible for government affairs, sustainability, internal and external communications for the Europe and Middle East region. He was previously the global SVP of Sustainable Development and prior to joining SABMiller he held corporate responsibility and strategy director roles at environmental services group Severn Trent and textiles firm Interface. Wales is a leading commentator on water scarcity, agriculture and entrepreneurship. He is the author of Big Business, Big Responsibilities, and is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Arts and of the Forum for the Future. A visiting fellow at the Smith School, Oxford and a member of WWF UK's programme oversight board. Wales has a BA in English and International Development from Sussex University, a Master's degree in Sustainable Development Strategy from Middlesex University and an MBA from the Warwick Business School.
