Fifteen-year career as a journalist. 1999, part of the founding team of CNN+: reporter and political correspondent, heading programmes, and special envoy in Kosovo and Iraq; 2004, appointed as US Bureau Chief; reported on Hurricane Katrina and joined Obama and McCain on their campaign trails.
