1988, Bachelor's in International Relations, Seoul National University; 2001, LLM, Columbia Law School. Started career as Corporate Lawyer, Kim and Chang. Joined Citibank Korea; from 2007, Managing Director and General Counsel. May 2008, became Member of the 18th National Assembly. Former spokesperson of: Grand National Party (now Saenuri Party); Presidential Candidate, Park Geun Hye; President Elect. Participated in establishing a scholarship foundation for the descendants of the Korean War veterans, the Korean War Memorial Foundation, with General Baek Sun Yeop; July 2010 - March 2013, Vice-Chairperson of the Foundation. March 2013, appointed as Minister of Gender Equality and Family of the Republic of Korea. Since July 2010, Goodwill Ambassador, Foreign Aid, Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
