Donald Kaberuka

1997-2005, Minister of Finance and Economic Planning of Rwanda; played a major role in leading the economic team responsible for the successful reconstruction of the country in the aftermath of the 1994 genocide. 2005, elected President, African Development Bank; 2010, re-elected; has carried out major reforms to refocus the African Development Bank's agenda on regional economic integration, private sector, infrastructure, governance, and a special initiative for post-conflict countries and fragile states; aims to position the African Development Bank as Africa's premier development institution.
