Recent publications include: Asia in Washington (2013); The New Continentalism: Energy and Twenty First Century Eurasian Geopolitics (2012); The Making of Northeast Asia (2010); Pacific Alliance (2009); East Asian Multilateralism (2008); and Embattled Garrisons (2007). Author of numerous articles in English and Japanese periodicals. Recipient of awards for his publications.
