Graduate, Beijing Institute of Civil Engineering and Architecture; MA in Architecture, Yale University, American Institute of Architects Scholarship for Advanced Architecture Research. Has taught architecture at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing. Recipient of awards and honours, including: 2006 Architecture League Young Architects Award; selected as one of the twenty most influential Young Architects today, ICON magazine (2008); named one of the ten most creative people in architecture, Fast Company (2009); the first architect from China to receive an RIBA fellowship (2010).
