Yoshiaki Fujimori has been President and CEO of the LIXIL Group Corporation since August 2011. He has led an ambitious strategy to drive growth through the transformation of a stable Japanese concern into a global leader in innovative living and housing solutions. With the acquisition of major global players such as Permasteelisa, American Standard Brands, GROHE Group and JOYOU, the LIXIL Group is today the global leader in its industry segment with $16 billion in revenue. Fujimori serves as an External Director of Tokyo Electric Power Company and also as Chairman of the Japan Construction Material & Housing Equipment Industries Federation. Prior to joining LIXIL, he was Chairman, President and CEO of GE Japan. During his 25 years at GE, he held various key posts including Senior Vice President and a member of the Corporate Executive Council, as well as CEO of a number of Asian and global business divisions including Medical Systems, Plastics, and Ca pital. Fujimori started his career at Japanese trading company, Nissho Iwai Corporation (now Sojitz), where he worked for 10 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering from the University of Tokyo and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon Graduate School of Business, where he serves as a lifetime member of the Board of Trustees.
