President George W. Bush will be among 12 heads of state and government welcomed by President Mubarak at the opening session of the World Economic Forum in Sharm El Sheikh on 18 May (watch the webcast live). The meeting, held in partnership with the Government of Egypt, will have as its theme Learning from the Future. As well as holding talks with President Mubarak, President Bush will also have meetings with Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and H.M. King Abdullah Ibn Al Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
The Middle East is a region of diverse nations, says E. Neville Isdell, head of The Coca-Cola Company, in an interview, "yet all of them face the crucial challenge of enhancing economic growth to create jobs for their large and young populations."
