Nomination Form

Nomination forms can be completed online or downloaded in Adobe Acrobat PDF format. Eligible nominations are submitted from nominators who are well acquainted with the nominated leader and can attest to his or her qualifications. The nominator must be someone other than the nominee or a family member. Nominators do not need to collaborate with the nominee in putting forth the nomination package, neither do they need to keep the submission confidential. Please note that only complete nomination forms will be considered.

To complete the nomination package, please include a current CV of the candidate as well as a confidential letter of recommendation, which outlines the reasons for supporting the nomination of the candidate and provides information on the candidate's commitment to serve society at large. Please feel free to include optional information such as a recent photo, citations, articles and dated newspaper clippings of the candidate.

Nomination Deadline

The complete list of Young Global Leaders of the Class of 2010 will be announced in early 2010, and the honourees will be invited to join the Forum of Young Global Leaders. Given the large number of applications, only candidates who have been chosen by the selection committee will be notified. To qualify for the nomination and selection process of the Class of 2011, all nominations must be received in the Forum’s office by 31 July 2010.

Point of View

Mugo Kibati“This will be a wonderful opportunity for Young Global Leaders to reinvigorate themselves and devise strategies for the next phase of the YGLs’ work on the Global Redesign Initiative in a unique and different setting. In sampling the true East African experience, YGLs will find themselves simultaneously being enriched and enriching the local communities they will be engaging.”
Mugo Kibati, Founder and Principal, Miliki Ventures, Kenya, Young Global Leader
