1. Do you hire candidates who are not Swiss nationals or holders of a valid Swiss work permit?
The World Economic Forum is not considered an international organization and is, therefore, subject to Swiss cantonal and federal immigration rules.
For this reason, we can only hire non-Swiss nationals if their application for a work permit is approved by the cantonal and federal authorities.

2. Is it possible to work for the World Economic Forum abroad?
The World Economic Forum has its headquarters in Cologny/Geneva, and two smaller offices in New York and Beijing. Please note that for each open position on our website, the location of employment is specified.

3. Does the World Economic Forum offer internships?
The World Economic Forum does not offer internships or summer jobs on a regular basis. All our openings are posted on the careers section of our website.

4. Is it possible to work as external staff for the Regional Summits?
Unfortunately, we do not recruit external staff for our regional activities. However, we employ a limited number of external staff members for the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting in Davos. The recruitment process for these positions begins in October of each year. A specific advertisement is posted on the careers section of our website at that time.

5. Does the World Economic Forum accept unsolicited offers?
Yes, you may post your unsolicited application by selecting the "General Application" option. However, you increase your chances of being hired when you apply to a specific, advertised position.

6. How can I apply?
Please use our website's online application system at www.weforum.org/careers

7. When will I be informed of the outcome of my application?
We receive and screen a large number of general and specific applications through our website and strive to update candidates on the status of their application as quickly as feasible.

8. Can I make changes to my application file?
Yes, you may update your profile in the “Previous Applicants” section, using your login (e-mail address) and password. You can add/remove a position, upload attachments and update your personal information.
