What have they become
What have the fellows become after graduating from the Programme? Many of them stayed at the Forum in a variety of different positions, such as:
Kristel Van der Elst
Kristel is Director and Head of the Scenario Planning team at the World Economic Forum. Her team develops scenarios in collaboration with the Forum’s members, facilitates high-exposure workshops and brings a foresight perspective to a broad variety of Forum activities.
Max von Bismarck
Max is the Director and Head of Investors at the World Economic Forum. In that capacity he leads an international team based in New York and Geneva which oversees all global activities and relationships of the World Economic Forum related to Private Equity, Hedge Funds, Institutional Investors and Sovereign Funds (community with over $4 trillion AUM).
Sushant Palakurthi Rao
Sushant is the Director and Head of Asia at the World Economic Forum. His team has the responsibility for developing relationships with industry, government and institutions in Korea, South Asia, Southeast Asia and Japan. Additionally, he leads the programme development, participant, co-chair engagement and marketing of the Forum's regional events in East Asia and India.

Julio Estrada
Julio is currently the Managing Director of the National Competitiveness Program of Guatemala. He reports directly to the President of Guatemala and coordinates activities in the public and private sector activities aimed at increasing investment and employment by improving business climate and developing strategic industry clusters. He is based in Guatemala City.
Saman Ahsan
After graduating from the Global Leadership Fellows Programme, Saman joined the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria (Geneva) as Strategic Initiatives Development Officer where she is working on a significant new initiative that aims to increase the availability and affordability of effective malaria medicines in malaria-endemic countries. The Affordable Medicines Facility - malaria (AMFm) will be launched in 2009 on a pilot basis for the duration of 18 months, before an evaluation to determine whether and how to proceed to global roll-out. This exciting opportunity has taken Saman back into the field of development which is where her qualifications and interests lie.
Simon Mulcahy
Simon is now Senior Director, Global Enterprise Strategy at salesforce.com. Salesforce.com is the global leader in enterprise cloud computing, based in San Francisco. This year, the company reached its 10 year anniversary, hitting $1bn in revenues, whilst still growing at over 35% per annum. Simon’s role is to transform salesforce.com's mindshare with C level customers and prospects, globally. This is primarily done through the creation of C' level programmes to generate significant excitement and momentum around Cloud Computing. In October 09, Simon will transition from their London offices to their San Francisco headquarters.
Preeti Sinha
Since graduating from the Global Leadership Fellows programme in 2008, Preeti has set-up a development finance consulting company called FFD LLC in Geneva and is Chief Executive Officer. The role of the company is to mobilize capital for development. She is currently developing the African Financing Partnership (AFP) for the African Development Bank, to harmonize the development finance institutions (DFIs) involved in project financing in Africa. This will lead to resource mobilization of global capital for development in Africa.
