In April 2007, the World Economic Forum published its third Arab World Competitiveness Report. This report has been a major driver of efforts to advance economic reform in the region, spearheaded by the Arab Business Council. The latest report was unveiled at the exclusive Roundtable meeting in Qatar. The discussions, involving top policy-makers and business leaders, translated the results of the report into an action plan that will feed into the World Economic Forum on the Middle East taking place in May 2007 in Jordan.

Arab World Competitiveness Roundtable Opening Plenary
This Roundtable was a unique opportunity to debate the results of the report with its key authors and researchers, and to shape its impact on economic policy-making in the region with key decision-makers. It also provided first-hand insight into growth industries and markets that will drive the engine of the Arab economies in the future.
