Recognizing the need for integrated, high-performance network and content security solutions to handle the increasingly sophisticated network threat environment, Fortinet launched its FortiGate product family to deliver a complete range of security technology at higher performance and dramatically lower costs than competitors.
Holografika Kft., Hungary I
CEO Interview
Representative:
Mr Tibor Balogh, Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Company Profile:
Holografika is a Hungarian venture active in the field of photonic technologies. The company developed a proprietary technology in 3D visualisation, including holographic 3D displays, software applications and 3D data compression solutions and holds several patents. The company started selling its 26” and 32” HoloVizio™ 3D displays in 2004, and plans to offer larger-scale holographic projection systems from next year for professional CAD, first of all for automotive applications. The R&D activities partly funded by the EU focus on developing next generation 3D displays, inherent 3D applications, further a 3D camera system and a full software environment, which can serve as a basis for future 3D television.
Innovation:
Following the major trends in the display technologies and television (B/W, Colour, HD) it is evident that the next step is the 3D. Despite improvements in the image quality, resolution, colour, contrast, etc., the view still looks artificial. The difference is the missing third dimension. Viewers should see a 3D image on the screen as they would see in the reality. When hanging on the wall, future displays should look like a real window, undistinguishable, except the technology working behind. Holografika developed this technology, and true 3D can be the most important development, a paradigm shift in the display technologies for the coming years.
