World Economic Forum on Latin America 2010 to be held in Colombia

The fifth Latin America gathering brings together global and regional leaders to analyse the major trends, opportunities, and challenges of the Region. Increases in social spending and improvements in the quality of jobs had contributed to lowering the regional poverty rate. However, inequality still prevails and radical improvements are urgently needed in production and supply chain standards, energy and transport infrastructures, and education and health systems. Participants will address issues of governance and international cooperation for the enhancement of regional trade, security, and environmental performance.

Participants resolve to rethink, redesign and rebuild economy
