Scenarios Series @ World Economic Forum on the Middle East

At the 2008 World Economic Forum on the Middle East in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt, over 1,500 business, government and civil society leaders from 60 countries in more than 10 sessions discussed pressing topics evolving around three scenarios for the world in 2025 - the Hyperlinked World, the Sustainable World and the Multipolar World. These scenarios are based on how the global economic, political, social and technological environments may develop and take into account trends that are already playing out today. These scenarios of the future are not forecasts but rather sketches of plausible and challenging future worlds that could become reality as different assumptions and uncertainties unfold.
