Rajasthan Education Initiative (REI)

Rajasthan Education InitiativeThe REI has 26 partners under its umbrella – with 10 Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) track partners and 15 non-ICT track partners including local and global private sector companies, foundations, non-government organizations and other partners working together through a Multistakeholder Partnerships for Education (MSPE) platform to realize the vision and objectives outlined in its strategy.

The initiative is being driven by four core partners – the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), the Global E-school and Communities Initiative (GeSCI), the government of Rajasthan and the World Economic Forum, with the government of Rajasthan leading upfront and steering the overall project management unit. The REI is already benefiting 4,250 primary and upper primary schools spread across 32 districts in the state of Rajasthan and plans are currently being implemented to include more schools. The REI will build ICT capacity in the state of Rajasthan by providing ICT training to almost 1 million students and 4,000 teachers, working at different levels in the schools across Rajasthan.

For further information on each of the tracks and to explore ways of engaging on the initiative please visit the REI website or email us at gei@weforum.org
