Industry Partners are select member companies of the World Economic Forum that are actively involved in the Forum's mission at the industry level. Health is one of the World Economic Forum’s key focus areas as it is directly aligned with the Forum’s mission: Committed to improving the state of the world by engaging leaders in shaping the global, regional and industry agendas. The Forum focuses on three key health-related activities: advocacy, dialogue and action through partnership. It recognizes health as an important part of long-term economic development and engages its members and other stakeholders to advocate health as an investment.

The World Economic Forum’s healthcare partnership programme seeks to engage key players in a multistakeholder platform to address key issues that are agreed upon every year. This year, the health community has decided to focus mainly on three key initiatives/projects:
- Non-Communicable and Chronic Diseases Prevention
- Innovative Models in Healthcare delivery
- Towards a Charter on Global Health Data
