José Sergio Gabrielli de Azevedo,   "Balancing supply and demand and offsetting impacts and benefits of different energy
sources will be a  huge challenge in the near future. Despite the economic downturn exacerbated in the past few months, demand for energy will surely increase in the medium and long term. This fact is going to cause production of traditional sources such as oil, natural gas and coal to intensify. At the same time, climate change will dramatically increase the importance of cleaner sources in the world energy scene. That is the complex equation we have to work out, no failure allowed here."
José Sergio Gabrielli de Azevedo, President and Chief Executive Officer, Petroleo Brasileiro Petrobras, Brazil, 2009 Energy Community Leader
