Governors are CEOs from the most influential companies within each of our designated industry groupings. Each year, during the Annual Meeting, Governors assemble for a private, off-the-record discussion to address critical issues for their sector with relevant special guests and thematic experts.

Scalable Business Solutions to Hunger and Poverty

In this private session, senior executives from leading global and regional companies will join with select experts and other stakeholders to discuss innovative business strategies for the base of the pyramid that provide sustainable opportunities for the poor. The session will focus on a series of business models that can catalyze entrepreneurship and strengthen food value chains, thus helping reduce hunger and poverty. Special emphasis will be placed at identifying innovative business models from the Indian context.

New York Strategy Meeting on Sustainability for Tomorrow’s Consumers

This Meeting will drive progress on the three project pillars established by the Board:
The Business Case for Sustainability: What's in it for business, why a CEO should consider sustainability a priority?
Innovations for Consumer Industries: What key supply chain and business model innovations and design revolutions are needed to help companies meet the challenge?
Shaping the Framework Conditions: How can companies anticipate regulation and contribute to shape the conditions in which they will operate in the future?
The Meeting will be used to shed light on the future state for Sustainability, with the objective to inform and enable high level CEO conversations in Davos that may help shift the sustainability agenda from “why” to “what and how”. The meeting will also include a planning session to review progress on The Business Case work-stream and preparations for the India Design Charette.
