New Financial Architecture
This project explores the future of the global financial system and the role of "new" financial players such as sovereign wealth funds, hedge funds and private equity firms. The project uses scenario analysis to facilitate the debate between key stakeholders.
New Financial Architecture: Scenarios of the Future
Financial Governance Working Group
An ongoing public-private dialogue convened in partnership with the UK presidency of the G20 to provide input into the finance dossier. The inaugural meeting took place in Davos in a joint session with Industry Partner CEOs, G20 finance ministers, central bank governors and other senior officials, with follow-up sessions planned throughout 2009 for a variety of participants.
Re-thinking Risk Management
In 2008 risk management throughout the financial system failed in a fundamental way. This project will engage the help of practitioners and theorists from other industries to rethink what financial institutions can do to better monitor, manage, and maintain the stability of the financial system.
Financial Development
Financial Development Report
The project will create the Financial Development Index and an accompanying report, which will rank approximately 50 of the world's largest financial markets. The index will be published annually and serve as an impartial and comprehensive resource to foster economic growth.

Infrastructure Opportunity
This project aims to articulate proven and scalable models for the private financing of infrastructure that are relevant in an environment of heightened risk and will provide a common reference for businesses, governments and multi-lateral organizations.
Sustainability
Advancing Low-Carbon Finance
The project supplements the Forum’s cross-industry Climate Change by addressing key topics such as creating more liquid international carbon markets, leveraging private finance into low-carbon projects, and the structure of climate investment fund.
