Aim: The goal of the Green Technology programme is to create action-oriented approaches that both: enable IT and Telecoms companies to prove their seriousness in tackling climate change and in establishing clear, economically viable approaches that all heavy users of technology can use to do the same. Thus establishing the reduction of CO2 as a driver for future technology innovation.

• Synthesise global insight thru: the creation of a framework that is agreeable with Steering & Advisory groups; a scan of existing technology solutions that increase energy productivity, and quantifying the impact on CO2 emissions and the economic cost of these technology solutions • Raise awareness at the highest levels of the role of technology and create transformative shifts in behaviour • Dialogue with government leaders at G20 and G8 level regarding recommendations for the role of ICT in carbon abatement

Geography of Innovation: Innovation Heatmap
Aim: The overall intent of the Geography of Innovation programme is to identify what factors most influence innovation, and discover where these factors are most concentrated geographically.
Benefits to Partners:
• Utilise a tool that will help visualize data on innovation with a focus on sector specific indexes, and derive insights about the dynamics of innovation in specific industries and locations. Such a mechanism would identify the most pressing questions around Innovation for governments, academic leaders and decision makers in the corporate sector • Connect with a worldwide community of experts around Innovation • Source and gather the most accurate data around Innovation with regards to regional insight (East Asia: China, India, USA) with a reliable and easy-to-use supply of information that will assist in decision making.

Education
Aim: The education initiative creates frameworks for multi stakeholder partnership models (Jordan Education Initiative (JEI), Rajasthan (REI), and Egypt (EEI)) to catalyze education reform on a global level.
Benefits to Partners:
• Utilise toolkits for multi-stakeholder partnerships in education (in collaboration with UNESCO) • Leverage existing work with donors, the UN system, World Bank, etc… to implement the new models on a global scale to achieve UN Millennium Development Goals in education

Exploring the Future of Cloud Computing
Cloud computing is expected to transform our society and have a substantial impact on businesses and the global economy. This project will explore and analyze the full potential of cloud computing and its possible impacts on businesses, society and the global economy. The project will also address concerns and constraints that might affect the deployment and adoption rate of both public and private cloud computing.

Project Overview: Exploring the Future of Cloud computing
ICT for Development: Global Information
Aim: The report, produced in collaboration with INSEAD, measures and analyses the drivers of networked readiness in 127 economies around the world.
Benefits to Partners:
• Ability to exploit neutral platform for public-private dialogue on how to increasingly leverage ICT for growing competitiveness and development • Utilise tool which has become over the years one of the most authoritative and comprehensive international assessments of the impact of ICT on the development process and competitiveness of nations

ICT for Economic Growth
Aim: The ICT for Growth project shares perspectives on how Information and Communications Technologies can serve as a fundamental enabler of economic growth and societal transformation. This project will entail a series of three whitepapers which highlight the economic, social and environmental impact of ICT by facilitating innovative approaches which unlock new efficiencies.
