World Economic Forum on East Asia 2009

Business, government and civil society leaders participating in the 18th World Economic Forum on East Asia said the region could drive the critical post-crisis structural reform of the global economy, but needed to consider new growth models. The meeting was held in Seoul, Republic of Korea, 18-19 June 2009, with the theme Implications of the Global Economic Crisis for East Asia. In 2010 the Republic of Korea will assume the G20 chair, which has become the main forum for addressing global economic challenges.
