Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Adam Bly is Founder and Chief Executive of Seed, a mission-driven technology and consulting group that helps companies and governments around the world think scientifically. He also founded Seed Magazine, ScienceBlogs and the data visualization platform Visualizing.org, and is Editor of Science is Culture: Conversations at the New Intersection of Science + Society. Bly has served as an adviser to the UN and Government of Brazil on Rio+20 public engagement, and conducted biomedical research at the National Research Council of Canada. He has lectured on issues related to science and society at numerous institutions, including the National Academy of Sciences, US State Department, US House of Representatives, Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, NASA, MIT, Harvard and Peking University. Bly serves on various scientific boards and juries, including the World Economic Forum's Science Advisory Committee and is Vice-Chair of the Global Agenda Council on Complex Systems. He is the recipient of the Golden Jubilee Medal from Queen Elizabeth II.
