Formerly: managed the World Bank President's Global Private Sector CEO Forum; Lead Specialist, World Bank Poverty Reduction & Economic Management Group; founded IFC Gender Entrepreneurship Markets (GEM) global programme to mainstream gender into all IFC operations, leveraging business opportunity and development impact, creating first-ever specific credit lines for women SMEs in Africa. Currently, Ambassador of New Zealand to the UN and Prime Minister's Special Envoy, on secondment from role as Deputy CEO and Head of the NZ Aid Programme. Former Chair, Global Banking Alliance for Women. Author of two Random House business titles and five research publications in the World Bank Directions in Development series.
