1980, ordained as a Bhikku in Thailand; BA (Hons) in Sociology, Mahamakut Buddhist University; MA in Anthropology, Kirtipur Campus, Tribhuvan University, Kathmandu, Nepal; MPhil in Social Anthropology, Christ's College, Cambridge University, UK; PhD, Brunel University, Uxbridge, Middlesex, United Kingdom. Currently, Assistant Secretary to His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch of Thailand. Teacher, College of Religious Studies, Mahidol University and Mahamakut Buddhist University, Thailand; also occasionally teaches at other academic institutions in the US and Australia. Has published widely many articles on different aspects of Buddhism in various journals and newspapers in English, Thai, Nepali languages. Recipient of several awards and scholarships from their Majesties of Thailand. Research interests: Buddhist ethics; Buddhist psychology; Buddhism in the West; and anthropology of Buddhism.
