Master's in Business Administration and Economic Policy, Boston University. Formerly: served in management positions with the Steel Authority of India; headed Siemens Financial Services, India, covering the telecommunications, power and transportation sectors. With the World Bank Group: has played several roles, working in Asia, Africa, Middle East and Latin America; former Regional Director, Asia-Pacific, Infrastructure and Natural Resources, International Finance Corporation (IFC). Since July 2014, Senior Director, World Bank Group's Global Practice on Energy and Extractive Industries; provides leadership and strategic direction to the Global Practice that fosters partnerships with key clients through lending, advisory and knowledge services. The energy and extractive industries are key to delivering on the twin goals of the World Bank of reducing extreme poverty and improving shared prosperity.
