Started career in the private sector advising companies on trade, competition and state-aid matters. Formerly: positions at the European Commission; European Commission Spokeswoman for Trade; eight years as Chief of Staff, WTO, involved in setting up the Aid for Trade initiative and represented WTO at the G-20. Currently, Executive Director, International Trade Centre (ITC), the joint agency of the UNCTAD and the WTO for trade and international business development.
