Researcher on FDI spill over and outward FDI from emerging markets in China. Former: Visiting Prof., MIT Sloan School of Management, Harvard Business School, Economic School of Stockholm, INSEAD Business School, Bocconi Univ. Currently, Prof. of International Economics and Management, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua Univ. Research interests incl.: foreign direct investment, globalization & strategy, and valuation of firm & intangibles. Research with both empirical tests and case-studies on FDI spill over and outward FDI from emerging markets in China has been published in many top economic journals in China. Current research focuses on outward FDI from developing countries, especially on China, and the sustainability of competitiveness of transnational firms from emerging markets. Research has been sponsored by National Science Foundation, MIT Sloan School of Management, Xiao Linshi Foundation and Tsinghua Univ.
