Formerly: Economic Adviser to the Secretary of the Treasury and National Coordinator for Economic Studies, Secretariat of National Treasury; 1994, became Finance Analyst, Ministry of Finance of Brazil; 2003, Special Adviser to the Secretary of Economic and Social Development, Presidency of the Republic of Brazil; 2006-11, President, Brazilian National Education Development Fund, responsible for the National School Feeding Programme; contributed to the creation of the Brazilian School Feeding Law that determines that at least 30% of the food purchased must come from small-family farming production; chairs the school feeding network for Latin America. Since Aug. 2011, Director and Representative, World Food Programme Centre of Excellence Against Hunger, Brazil. Board Member, Global Child Nutrition Foundation.
