Former Chairman: Air Safety and Single Sky committees; Board, SESAR Joint Undertaking. With DG Enterprise and Industry: 2011-12, Deputy Director, in charge of internal markets for goods, competitiveness and innovation, SMEs and entrepreneurship, international negotiations and tourism; since February 2012, Director-General, DG Enterprise and Industry; Special Envoy for SMEs. Has lectured in European Law in several universities and institutes. Author of several publications.
