Almost 40 years of experience working in many countries in Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe and the Middle East on water-related issues, including on water resources, water supply and sanitation, irrigation, hydropower, water policy and institutions, international waters cooperation, hydrology, and climate variability and change. 1983-2009, worked for the World Bank in numerous water-related positions; 2003-06, Senior Water Adviser, chairing its Water Resources Management Group and having oversight responsibility for the Bank's global water resources agenda. At Oxford University, developing an inter-disciplinary water security research network and teaching agenda.
