Economist with 25 years of experience in development work in the public sector and civil society, including: 18 years of professional experience in the field of humanitarian action and disaster risk reduction at national and international levels; 15 years providing advisory services in capacity development to national and local government agencies and international and regional organizations, including United Nations agencies, specializing in health emergency management, disaster risk reduction and management, post-disaster early recovery, public-private partnership, policy leadership, advocacy and action. 1986-2001: executive work experience in the Philippine Government: Department of National Defense, Office of Civil Defense, National Disaster Coordinating Council, National Security Council, Department of Health, and Philippine Congress. Currently, Disaster Risk Manager, Public Health Specialist.
