Formerly: with office of the UN Special Representative of Secretary-General for Children and Armed Conflict. With Conflict, Security and Development Group: established Knowledge Building and Mentoring Programme that comprises Peace and Security Fellowships for African Women and MA Studentship and Mentoring programme; developed Women, Peace and Security Programme. Member of the International Advisory Board: Geneva Centre for Democratic Control of Armed Forces; Training for Peace Programme, Norwegian Foreign Ministry. Associate Fellow, Geneva Centre for Security Policy. Member, African Security Sector Network Conducted research and written on international peace and security issues with special focus on Africa including books: Reinventing Peacekeeping in Africa (2000); Peacekeeping in Sierra Leone: The Story of UNAMSIL (2007). Co-Author, Global Development and Human Security (2007). Co-Editor, Challenges of Security Sector Governance in West Africa (2008).
