Four years as Research Fellow, London Business School; six years at the Confederation of British Industry. 1986, joined Credit Suisse; former positions include: Global Head of Fixed Income Research and Economics, Chief Economist, and Co-Head, Pensions Advisory and Structuring Group, Investment Banking Division. 2004, joined Private Banking; currently, Managing Director; head of Private Banking Research, also responsible for the research groups of Asset Management; also Chair, Global Economics and Strategy Group. Chair, Tech4all, which aims to relieve poverty through the use of technology. Has published widely in academic and general media on macroeconomics, financial markets and public policy. Recipient of awards, including: Volunteer of the Year, Lord Mayor of the City of London, for his Voicemail4all service developed for Tech4all (which has helped some 2,500 homeless people).
