Former positions in international law and human rights, Ministry for Foreign Affairs. 2006-08, State Secretary to the Swedish Minister for Migration, responsible for preparing a labour immigration reform that liberalized opportunities for foreign nationals to work in Sweden; 2008-10, State Secretary to the Prime Minister for Foreign Affairs; played a central role in leading the Swedish presidency of the European Union in the autumn of 2009; concurrently, G8 Sherpa for the EU presidency and prepared the European Councils. 2010, Ambassador of Sweden for the Arctic.
