Graduate Engineer, Food Technology. 1981-89, responsible for R&D / Quality Assurance (QA), Quaker Oats and Royal Canin, Germany. 1990, joined Metro Germany to set up QA for the food business in Germany. Developed QA at METRO into an international department. January 2011, took over the representation of METRO GROUP on international committees concerning healthy nutrition and environmentally friendly production of safe products. Member of Board of Directors, Global Food Safety Initiative.
