Regional Chair for Africa, International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics; Member, Advisory Board, World Demographic and Ageing Forum; Board Member, HelpAge International; Member, African Union Working Group on Rights of Older People. Interests: ageing and development in Africa, intergenerational dynamics, social determinants of health in old age.
