Author of books: American Anthrax: Fear, Crime, and the Investigation of the Nation's Deadliest Bioterror Attack, on the 2001 letter attacks; Anthrax - The Investigation of a Deadly Outbreak (1999), on the 1979 anthrax epidemic in Sverdlovsk; Biological Weapons - From the Invention of State-Sponsored Programs to Contemporary Bioterrorism; American Anthrax: Fear, Crime, and the Nation's Deadliest Bioterrorism Attack (2011). Current Global Agenda Council project: MOOC on WMD history and policy. Recipient of book awards, fellowships and grant support from major universities, private foundations and the US National Institutes of Health.
