Graduate studies at Technische Universität, Berlin and Université de Fribourg. Formerly, Managing Director, several companies which were part of family business; managed industrial manufacturing businesses in Australia and US and international trading business in Switzerland; started up several international businesses. Since 1992, with IMD: also, Director, Leading the Family Business programme; main teaching focus on owner-related issues, particularly from next generation perspective. Directed Annual Distinguished Family Business Award for 10 years. Over 10 years as Executive Director, Family Business Network and currently, Member of the Board. Author of numerous articles and book, Wise Growth Strategies in Leading Family Businesses (2005), also published in German (2007) and Spanish (2008).
