From 1997: various positions with Thuraya Telecommunications Company, including: Senior Manager, Product Dev. Currently, Director-General, Telecommunications Regulatory Authority, responsible for establishing a telecom regulatory body in the UAE in 2004. Chairman, UAE Institute for Advanced Science and Technology; Vice-Chairman, UAE Information and Communication Technology Fund; Board Member, National Media Council; Chair, Spectrum Coordination Committee (SCC) in charge of setting the National Spectrum Plan; Chairman, UAE World Summit on the Information Society committee in charge of following up on the implementation of the Summit; Member, Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council.
