1991, BSc in Engineering Science, University of Toronto; 1992, MSc and 1997, PhD, California Institute of Technology. 1997-2007, professor, faculty advisor and system architect, Cornell University: led the Robot Soccer Team to four RoboCup World Championships. Exhibitions: Spoleto Festival; the Smithsonian; Venice Biennale; National Gallery of Canada; ideaCity; Ars Electronica. 2004, Co-Founder, Kiva Systems (purchased by Amazon in 2012), leading the systems architecture, robot design, robot navigation and coordination, and control algorithms efforts. 2007, Dynamic Systems and Control Chair, ETH Zurich, researching autonomous systems within a more unconstrained and creative paradigm; leads an interdisciplinary team combining expertise in mathematics, engineering, systems design and the arts.
