Currently: Associate Professor in Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering, and Applied Mathematics, University of California, Davis; External Professor, Santa Fe Institute and Member, Science Steering Committee; Member, IAP Global Young Academy. Research on mathematical models of self-organization and phase transitions in networked systems, with recent focus on interdependent social, technological and critical infrastructure networks. Four-time Kavli Fellow, National Academy of Science, USA. Editorial board member of numerous scientific journals. Currently leading basic research projects funded by several scientific and defence agencies in the US (NSF, DoD, ARL, AFOSR).
